Share your joy and begin your life together surrounded by the beautiful fields & flowers of Winterberry Farm.

We are a horse-powered, certified organic vegetable & flower farm that has been a treasure to the community of Belgrade, Maine, since 1870. In 2012, we became a Forever Farm and in 2015 our barn now has a place on the National Registry of Historic Places.

We are located in on Route 27 – just 8 minutes from Interstate 95 in Augusta – on Great Pond in the Belgrade Lakes region.

We host no more than five weddings per year between the 20th of May and the 30th of September.

We limit the number guests to 125 people and can therefore offer several scenic locations for you to hold your ceremony.

We have on-site parking and offer lots of opportunities for the wedding party and guests to walk and mingle.

We guarantee that your family and friends will enjoy celebrating your marriage by feasting on foods made with Winterberry farm-grown ingredients and being delighted by very special Winterberry Farm floral designs arranged to your specifications. Your guests will even enjoy shopping in our farm store and take home treats for the next day!

Step 1 ~ Call Mary at 207-649-3331 to see if the farm is available for the date you have chosen.

Step 2 ~ Come for a visit. Walk the fields, meet the sheep, oxen and horses, enjoy some coffee or tea in our café while you discuss your floral arrangement and celebration ideas with us, and book your event day!

Step 3 ~ Get married! Spend your first married moments together with family and friends on a small family farm.

Step 4-Ever! ~ Return to Winterberry Farm year after year: to cut your Christmas tree; join our CSA; celebrate your anniversary; share in fun and make new memories at any of our annual, seasonal on-farm events.

How it works

We prefer Caterers who honor the local food system. The following companies will use our vegetables and source meats and seafood from other local Maine farms.

The cost for our farm site is $2500.00 this price does not include our floral arrangements, the event tents, tables, chairs or porta-potties. A $1000.00 deposit is required at time of booking, and the balance paid 90 days before your wedding date.
